Our team continues to improve ABViewer to make working with CAD files easier and more efficient. In version 16.1, we expanded G-code generation capabilities, upgraded editing tools, and improved import and conversion features, along with overall performance.
What’s new in ABViewer 16.1:
- 2D improvements:
- Improved import of DWG, DXF, and SVG formats.
- Improved export to DWG and DXF formats.
- 3D improvements:
- Improved import of the SLDPRT and SLDASM formats.
- Optimized the minimum dimension calculation algorithm.
- Improved PDF to DWG/DXF conversion.
- Improved G-code generation:
- Added support for generating G-code compatible with electrical discharge machines (EDM).
- Added support for G80–G84 drilling commands (select a circle, right-click and choose Create hole).
- Added a setting to define the contour starting point at any location (G-code settings -> Advanced -> Contour start point snap -> Nearest points).
- Improved the user interface.
- Improved Editor mode:
- Added new modes to create circles and arcs: 2-Point Circle, 3-Point Circle, 3-Point Arc, Start-Center-End Arc, Center-Start-End Arc.
