SEOUL, South Korea, Sep 10, 2024 – DN Solutions, the world’s 3rd largest machine tool manufacturer and the top company in Korea, unveiled its new DNX series multitasking machines on September 9th at major machine tool exhibitions in both the U.S. and Europe. Developed to compete in the global market, the DNX series is designed for high-end multitasking (complex machining) operations.
The new series name “DNX” shares the “DN” brand with the company’s best-selling DNM and DNT models, signaling a continuation of success. The “X” represents multi-axis capabilities, highlighting its position as a high-end product.
The DNX series (DNX 2100SB, DNX 2100S) aims to make multitasking machines more accessible. These machines combine complex turning and milling operations into one setup, eliminating the need to transfer workpieces between machines, which leads to simplified and more stable processes. This reduces downtime from setup changes and machine transfers, and also makes it easier to integrate automation, significantly improving productivity.
For example, a DN Solutions customer in the Netherlands manufacturing motorcycle parts saw a 12-fold increase in annual production after adopting a multitasking machine. Despite the growing popularity of multitasking machines, smaller metalworking companies with limited resources have been hesitant to invest due to the high cost. However, the DNX series offers high-end multitasking capabilities at an affordable price, providing smaller businesses with new opportunities in advanced manufacturing.
DN Solutions CEO WJ Kim stated, “The new DNX series will provide new business opportunities to our customers and partners, just as the DNM series, which has sold over 50,000 units, has done. We expect the DNX to win the hearts of customers looking for high-end products.”
New Design Identity
DN Solutions has also redefined its design identity with the DNX series. The DNX machines have a completely new look, featuring smooth curves on the machine’s outline and spindle covers, a departure from previous models. Combined with the dark metallic silver base color, this expresses the product’s futuristic value. The company’s signature color, “DN Blue,” is used to highlight the logo, product name, front door, and operation panel. The lower part of the front door also features ambient lighting in “DN Blue,” evoking the color of Earth as seen from space, symbolizing the advanced technology that drives humanity’s future in space exploration.
IMTS and AMB Exhibitions
From September 9 to 14, DN Solutions will showcase 13 products and solutions, including the DNX 2100SB and the 5-axis DVF 5000 with the new design concept, at IMTS 2024 in Chicago, the world’s largest machine tool exhibition. At the same time, DN Solutions will also exhibit 8 products and solutions, including the DNX 2100S, at AMB 2024 in Stuttgart, Germany, Europe’s largest local exhibition.
