TRIESTE, Italy, Jun 29, 2021 – ESTECO is pleased to announce that, the new VOLTA and modeFRONTIER 2021R2 Release is now available. With the latest update, we introduce a new Python-based console in modeFRONTIER which allows you to expand the possibilities to perform data visualization and predictive modeling. Among other improvements, VOLTA comes with a brand new interface and keeps expanding its Planner environment capabilities, while modeFRONTIER strengthens its direct interface with Simcenter STAR-CCM+.

Simulation Data Analytics

pyCONSOLE: a new Python-based environment available in modeFRONTIER

Enhance the customization of data analysis and visualization charts with the high-quality potentiality of Python numerical and graphical libraries.

With the pyCONSOLE based on the Python 3 standard, you can now extend the modeFRONTIER design space capabilities relating to data visualization and the creation of predictive models. This gives the opportunity to import datasets from modeFRONTIER tables in a users’ preferred Python environment and plot these data on your preferred python charts library. Alternatively, you can:

  1. Build predictive models using your favorite Python libraries
  2. Export a dataset from pyCONSOLE to modeFRONTIER design space, ready to be used as the native modeFRONTIER tables.

Design Optimization

Gain better traceability of simulation plan configurations

The results of a design exploration or optimization strategy depend on the version of the simulation workflow and the specific configuration of parameters, constraints, and objectives which are set up in the VOLTA Planner environment.

With the new functionality, you immediately know which settings and strategies were used to generate those simulation results.  In fact, this serves as a valuable traceability visualization dashboard that you can access at any time to check which are the configurations for each simulation plan.

Usability

VOLTA Platform features a brand-new interface

We redesign the whole interface of VOLTA to improve usability throughout its modular environments and accommodate specific requests coming from our customers. Among the improvements, you can now:

  1. Experience a new navigation pane that efficiently reorganized how to access your data and simulation projects
  2. Find items in VOLTA easier with the search bar incorporated in the new navigation pane
  3. Being always aware of where you exactly are in VOLTA as a result of the new visual design of breadcrumbs, page titles, and icons

Simulation Process Integration and Automation

Simcenter STAR-CCM+, a multiphysics computational fluid dynamics (CFD) software for the simulation of products operating under real-world conditions, is now even easier to integrate into the modeFRONTIER automated workflow. You can simplify the process automation creation, eliminate the burden of developing a custom JAVA macro for each Star-CCM+ model, and allow smart use of company computing resources.
