SCOTTSDALE, AZ, USA, Oct 5, 2021 – Open Design Alliance (ODA), the leading provider of CAD and BIM interoperability solutions, announced new support for version 2022 Autodesk Revit files in its BimRv SDK (Software Development Kit). BimRv is the industry’s only independent, stand-alone toolkit for Revit file interoperability.

With this new support, the BimRv database and APIs (Application Programming Interfaces) are updated to provide full access to all data in version 2022 Revit files. Older Revit files are automatically converted to the latest 2022 version upon loading to provide client applications with consistent access to data regardless of the underlying file version.
“The release of version 2022 support confirms our ongoing commitment to the BIM industry for providing an open toolset for Revit data,” said Neil Peterson, ODA President. “Our BimRv user base has grown by more than 25% this year, driven by solid growth in the construction industry worldwide.”
BimRv is being developed through the ODA Strategic Interoperability Group initiative, where companies come together to collaboratively fund the development of key technologies for the benefit of the broader industry. See opendesign.com/sig for more details.
Availability and Pricing
Support for 2022 Revit files is available in BimRv version 22.8 and later. BimRv is an optional component available for purchase by Sustaining level and higher ODA members.
