Synera’s agentic orchestration platform can help engineers to build agents, enabling them to autonomously automate complex engineering workflows, but only if they can understand the CAD data at the center of those workflows. HOOPS AI provides that CAD-aware intelligence foundation, enabling applications to interpret geometry, identify similar parts, and support use cases such as design reuse, simulation setup, manufacturing planning, and procurement. 

Synera’s Advanced AI add-in brings this capability directly into Synera workflows, enabling users to create searchable collections of CAD parts and identify geometrically similar designs based on the shape of the part itself. Instead of relying only on file names, tags, or file size, engineering teams can use CAD geometry to find related parts, reduce duplicate work, and connect previous engineering knowledge to new projects. 

Synera Brings Shape Intelligence into Agentic Engineering Workflows 

Synera’s Advanced AI module add-in gives engineering teams a new way to put CAD geometry to work inside agentic automation. Rather than treating shape search as a separate tool, the add-in makes geometric similarity available directly inside Synera workflows, where it can support larger processes across design, simulation, costing, manufacturing assessment, and PLM/PDM-connected systems. 

With the Advanced AI add-in, users can bring CAD files into Synera, create searchable collections of parts, and run similarity searches to find geometrically related designs. Teams can use that capability to identify potential duplicates, reuse previous designs, compare related components, and reuse business context like costing, manufacturing processes, and procurement. 

The result is a more practical path to AI-powered engineering: workflows and agents that can act not only on text, metadata, or user instructions, but on the actual shape of the part. 

The release marks an important milestone for AI in engineering software. General-purpose AI tools have made rapid progress with text, images, and common business workflows, but engineering teams work with 3D models, CAD geometry, simulation data, product data, manufacturing context, and specialized tools.
