LUCERNE, Switzerland, Jul 31, 2026 – BETA CAE Systems is thrilled to announce the release of the major version 2026.1 of its product line for ANSA, EPILYSIS, META, FATIQ, KOMVOS, SPDRM and ANSERS.

The brand-new version marks a new era with an upgraded license file, reflecting the game-changing manner of the newly introduced, groundbreaking functionality in all BETA products. As a user, you will come across brand-new solvers, an increased number of new tools and features, high-level interaction with 3rd-party software, along with elevated performance, enhanced user experience and noteworthy key features that add value to your daily tasks and processes.

Suite 2026.1 picture

New version Highlights

Fast Concept Solver (FCX) integrated into ANSA

2026.1 marks a new era with the introduction of FCX: a high-performance GPU-based structural solver integrated in ANSA, enabling geometry-driven structural analysis. The real time assessment of structural performance provides the ability to evaluate consecutive design changes on the fly, coupled with high accuracy and computational efficiency. Mind that, to make use of this solver and discover its potential, an upgraded license is required.

Fidelity Flow Solver coupled with ANSA & META

Starting from ANSA, the introduction of an enhanced CFD ribbon offers a complete case setup for the Fidelity Flow Solver, whereas the simulation tree facilitates an overview of the simulation setup, along with local and remote execution and solution monitoring. The workflow is completed in META where the ANSA model organization is preserved and the Fidelity Flow results are loaded on-demand, thus minimizing loading time to what is necessary at each time.

Turbomachinery applications in ANSA & META

Fidelity Flow Solver is now supported in ANSA for turbomachinery applications, through a case setup ribbon, rotor/stator interfaces and run monitoring. The solution is completed in META, supporting the automatic creation of meridional and blade-to-blade views, turbo configuration to initialize 360-degree cases and calculate turbo-related values, along with the support of repetitions, cut planes and section plots.

Leveraging pre-processing tasks in ANSA

The new ANSA version stands out for its Agentic AI functionality, focusing on six main areas:

  • Core capabilities (natural language interface, skill-based automation, python script generation, interactive knowledge assistant)
  • Smart automation (context-aware task understanding, entity visibility control, geometry healing workflows, intelligent part type detection)
  • Productivity features (persistent memory across sessions, step-by-step tutorial guidance, multi-language support)
  • Geometry healing (intelligent geometry diagnostics and automated repair)
  • Tutorials application (interactive step-by-step tutorial guidance with live GUI activation)
  • – Test Device Positioning (impactor placement and transformation export)

ANSA – Model Build

Furthermore, acknowledging the importance of Model Build, as a major step in all workflow processes, we have further invested in this area. Thanks to the AI-powered part type detection, we now have an improved pre-trained classifier featuring a hybrid approach that combines Machine Learning with established geometric methods. On top of these, a variety of tools and features add further value to the Model Build process: The Mass Comparison tool provides full-vehicle and discretized mass, inertia, and COG comparisons with interactive visualization and automated reporting. The new Seamweld tool interactively fixes violations and recreates the FE representation or the heat affected zone after applying direct edit mesh. Seamwelds can be generated and realized fast and directly using the Seamweld Designer or Connection Templates and complex Boolean operations can be automatically handled in a single streamlined function.

ANSA – Geometry

Moving on to Geometry, the new version offers direct, high‑quality geometric faces generation from FE shells, respecting continuity and tangency. New implementations have also taken place regarding Volume Decomposition, speeding up Hexa Mesh generation workflow. Fillets’ creation has also been greatly enhanced and Sketch 2D has been enriched with parametric rectangular and circular patterns.

ANSA – Meshing (General)

Numerous new features and further enhancements in the Meshing area prove once again why ANSA is considered as the top-notch quality Mesher in the market. One of the implementations that stand out is the long-awaited Hexa Fit functionality, providing automatic generation of pure hexahedral mesh for arbitrarily shaped parts -now included as an extra feature in the upgraded license file. The new Line Mesh ribbon provides a dedicated environment consolidating existing and new line-mesh functionality into a unified workflow. The new Battery Cell Mesher provides automatic cell recognition, FE mapping from library, and structured mesh generation in one workflow. A variety of additional features add value to ANSA meshing capabilities: One-click HEXA/PENTA mesh generation based on body type, automatic cable/tube meshing from KBL files, effortless shell-solid hybrid meshing for casting components and direct control of the first row length ensures refined, high-quality solid meshes even with high growth rates are only few selected highlights of what to expect in ANSA 2026.1.

ANSA – Middle Meshing

All the above come along with further updates regarding Middle Surface. In specific, you can now automatically identify and inherit middle mesh from symmetric side, as well as inherit middle mesh from partially similar or symmetric parts.

ANSA – CFD

Next, the focus is placed on CFD. Task-based modeling workflows are now a reality, thanks to a new tool that automates and guides the user throughout all the steps of model preparation with pre-defined, reusable templates. Batch meshing for CHT analysis can also become part of your process, with a hybrid volume meshing scenario that integrates layers generation or a thin volume meshing scenario for structured meshing of thin components. Moreover, the watertight preparation with Autoseal offers a more efficient leak closure and local application through domain boxes. Closing, the Hextreme functionality for marine meshing offers a snap-hexa mode supporting planar anisotropic refinement, whereas the Hextreme parallel meshing offers the ability to run and monitor remote jobs on multiple hosts.

ANSA – Crash & Safety

In the Crash & Safety area, numerous new features and improvements provide an extra boost to the existing processes. Starting from Crash, thanks to the enhanced Cross Section Plane workflow, we now have expanded assistant capabilities, smarter interaction, and improved performance for faster and more intuitive workflows. Focusing on Safety, apart from the Seatbelt Tightening along the shortest path and the Seatbelt tool with 5-Point Harness type, the Seatbelt Refit enables the reuse of the existing nodes and elements when refitting locked seatbelt components to the underneath parts. In addition, Dummy Auto Positioning now offers customized first row passenger positioning with controlled contact and posture definition, whereas the Human Body Model Auto Positioning tool now supports the C-NCAP Frontal VTC 2027 positioning method.

ANSA – NVH

Moving on to NVH, SEA Solver makes an entrance with new capabilities, offering a unique solution for Statistical Energy Analysis problems. User defined transmission loss and resonant/non resonant paths for area junctions, damping from layered noise control treatments for shell subsystems and pressure spectrums for energy constraints are among the newly introduced features. In addition, the SEA Energy Path analysis provides clear insight into how energy propagates across the model. Mind that, to make use of this solver and discover its potential, an upgraded license is required.

Other implementations in the NVH area include standard NVH loadcases setup, for instance quick definition of wheel/fan Imbalance, smooth rolling and road PSD, as well as tools for NVH What-If studies, such as tuned mass damper and ground definition.

ANSA – Durability

In the Durability field, the applications of Oil Canning tool, introduced in prior versions, are further expanded for Nastran SOL400. Meanwhile, an enhanced contact status visualization check for Nastran has been introduced, through fringe plot, either based on ANSA calculation or by reading .h5 or .f06 files, along with an optimized handling of Nastran contact IDs and contact table contents. Also, Impactor Positioning Optimizer has undergone serious upgrades and is now suitable for target points located in curved/complex areas.

ANSA – MBD

Agentic AI marks an entrance in Multibody Dynamics too, automating the MBD model setup workflows through AI-Powered Assistant commands related to bodies, constraints, measures, sensors, configurations and DVs. This comes hand-in-hand with the introduction of Robotics, directly loading URDF and MJCF models into ANSA and converting them into Kinetics entities for MBD setup.

ANSA – Electronics

The new release 2026.1 showcases impressive implementations in the Electronics area as well. In specific, automatic connections creation is now achieved through assigned connectivity during import, along with automatic mesh refinement in critical areas beneath components for improved analysis accuracy.

ANSA – Optimization

One of the groundbreaking assets of the new version is the introduction of the Optimal Workspace, an environment dedicated to parametric optimization, offering ready-to-run, multi-model and multi-disciplinary optimization workflows. Mind that, to make use of this new environment and discover its potential, an upgraded license is required.

This comes together with the new optimization environment, coming as a dedicated optimization ribbon and loadcase wizards for topology, topography, topometry, size and shape optimization. Among the implementations in this field: the new optimization study wizard, the new multi-objective Bayesian optimization algorithm: ParEGO, the automatic bead generation from optimization results, as well as the rapid design area definition, enhanced with controls for neighbor connectivity, exclusion management and real-time editing.

ANSA – User Productivity

We continue investing in a plethora of features that boost User Productivity and further facilitate everyday tasks. As an overview, the advanced annotation editing, the attribute‑based drawing style, shortcuts enhancements, the external Python interpreter integration for ANSA and META, as well as the ability to submit, execute and monitor jobs remotely are only some of the handy features to expect in the new version.

Significant implementations and performance improvements in EPILYSIS

Several noteworthy upgrades come with the release of 2026.1, especially with regards to SOL200 and SOL400.

In specific, several SOL200 Topology Optimization geometrical manufacturing constraints are now supported, such as the minimum gap to impose a minimum separation distance between solid members, along with an improvement in casting and extrude constraints for design space with tetra elements. Moreover, thanks to LIMFACE parameter, rigid faces are available to be used as design area constraints for topography and bead optimization.

As for SOL400, elasto-plastic material and stress-dependent material (MATEP and MATS1 respectively) are now supported for non-linear SOL400 analysis.

Not to be missed, the impressive performance enhancements in AMLS, with up to 3× speedup in computation time and up to 50% reduction in disk I/O, as well as the up to 5x speedup with GPU acceleration on NVIDIA hardware.

Cross-disciplinary efficiency in META

Similarly to ANSA, the new META version stands out for its Agentic AI functionality, focusing on four main areas:

  • Instant answers to queries, related to your current loaded data and models, from terminology to step-by-step workflows
  • Loading and further process of Simulation Data from any major solver, by automatically detecting your data format, discovering available results, and filtering the required fields
  • Faster visualization and understanding of the results, based on intelligent coloring, dynamic animations, and smart annotations, highlighting what’s critical, all without touching a menu
  • Reports build and workflows automation, presentations and spreadsheets generation, avoiding manual, repeatable hassle

META – Crash & Safety

Related to Crash & Safety, the introduction of Battery Cell Intrusion tool enables the intrusion calculation in X, Y, Z directions for prismatic cells, the identification of failed cells and the per cell and state evaluation. Not to be missed, the support of Euro NCAP 2026 and C-NCAP 2027 VTC.

META – NVH

Focusing on NVH, Random Response definition and calculation are now available within the Modal Response tool, enabling a streamlined random vibration analysis setup in one place without the need to save intermediate files. From Actran op4 or f70 files are now supported as excitations in Frequency Response Analysis of the Modal Response tool, Nastran/Pam-Crash Modules and Abaqus Instances are supported in Modal Response, FRF Assembly and Modal/FRF Correlation tools. Lastly, Local Stiffness Analysis is now a fact in FRF Assembly, supporting What-If analyses of subsystem attachment point stiffness and evaluating the impact on system responses, such as sound pressure in a vehicle cavity.

META – Durability

Moving on to Durability, apart from the introduction of the Thinning Assessment toolbar, dedicated to calculating the thinning between two surfaces, and the support of non-linear results from Marc and MSC Nastran SOL400 results files, notable performance enhancements have also taken place in the new version. In specific, post-processing performance for ADAMS results has been improved up to 10x, reflecting a significant speedup for reading stress/strain and modal results in big models with thousands of states.

META – User Productivity

We continue investing in a plethora of features that boost User Productivity and further facilitate everyday tasks. As an overview, the multi-model and multi-video synchronization, the new brush tool in sphere, cube or circle brush shapes for entity selection, the enhanced Template Editor through widget-enabled functionality, the Dive Into functionality, intuitively selecting entities when multiple candidates overlap at the cursor, are only some of the handy features to expect in the new version. Not to be missed, the new measurement types (Area and length – Shortest distance along local axis – Storing measurement entities), the Undo/Redo support in 2D plots, Cut Planes, IsoFunctions, Flowpaths and Annotations, as well as the external Python interpreter integration for ANSA and META, with custom packages, IDE environment compatibility and advanced multi-source workflows.

AI-powered capabilities and new calculation methods in FATIQ

AI-Powered Assistant marks its presence in 2026.1 FATIQ; for Loads, facilitating the massive Load definition and assignment, as well as for Documentation queries, delivering accurate, context-aware responses.

Moreover, the new release comes with upgraded FATIQ features and implementations with regards to calculation methods, assembly and optimization. In specific, Fatigue Life Prediction and Reliability of Electronics after mechanical shock has been integrated in FATIQ, whereas Electronics Thermomechanical fatigue has been supported for Nastran and Marc, along with Multiple Sine Sweeps.

Furthermore, thanks to the Seamless collaboration between FATIQ and ANSA optimization tool, the setup of optimization design variables and design responses has become easy and efficient. Also, seamwelds are automatically recognized through the Connection Manager.

AI-Powered capabilities and expanded Machine Learning implementations in KOMVOS

Among the numerous implementations in 2026.1, Agentic AI in KOMVOS stands out with the upgrade of AI-Powered Assistant for Process Design, offering an enhanced agentic mode for design and modification of workflows, as well as for Data Search, effortlessly using natural language queries to directly get listed results.

Moreover, the introduction of Results Dashboard offers a comprehensive presentation of the reports of a run in a configurable layout, along with improved plots visibility with updated board and panels layout in the presentation of results.

Process Management in KOMVOS is now way more efficient, with the introduction of dynamic template links, from static copies to live, reusable process references, whereas simulation workflows have undergone a serious upgrade with PCB Model Builder, offering a streamlined build process for PCB models: from IPC-2581 or Allegro brd files, to assembly and ready-to-run Models.

Moving on with the Optimization studies and specifically with the introduction of the Optimal Workspace: a dedicated environment and a set of workflows in ANSA and KOMVOS for designing, execution and monitor multi-variant and multi-loadcase optimization workflows. Mind that, to make use of this environment and discover its potential, an upgraded license is required.

Out-of-the-box turbomachinery CFD optimization workflow is now achievable in KOMVOS, which is a straightforward process for single discipline optimization with plug-and-play experiment process, along with predefined turbomachinery CFD experiment with Fidelity Fine Turbo toolchain.

Focusing on Machine Learning, the introduction of ML Part Classifier training offers a streamlined process for the preparation and training of Part Classifiers, whereas the visual mode classifiers utilize image-based feature extraction in conjunction with advanced deep neural network architectures to enable robust and accurate mode classification. In addition, thanks to the Integration of PhysicsNeMo in KOMVOS, users can leverage a state-of-the-art physics AI library (NVIDIA PhysicsNeMo) benefiting from a seamless data extraction process within KOMVOS.

Closing, Machine Learning in KOMVOS is gaining ground especially for CFD; follow some selected highlighted implementations:

  • AI predictors dedicated to turbomachinery CFD, such as Turbo AI predictors with multi-operating point predictions with interactive performance maps. Prediction on multiple geometries (blades, meridional planes, etc.) is also supported.
  • Extension of AI predictors for CFD; in specific, extension of the range of an already trained predictor by training with new samples or continuing the training of a predictor with current samples.
  • Improved accuracy of AI predictors for CFD; more accurate AI model thanks to an improved training kernel. Faster training and remote execution of the training process is also included in 2026.1.

AI-Powered capabilities and enriched Data Management in SPDRM

This release represents a major advancement in SPDRM and SPDRM Lite, with a strong focus on AI-driven engineering workflows, scalability, data accessibility, system performance, and deployment flexibility.

A key highlight is the introduction of AI-Powered capabilities across the platform, including natural language data search, an enhanced AI Assistant for process design, and the new SPDRM MCP Gateway, which enables AI assistants to securely interact with CAE applications in agentic mode. These innovations significantly simplify user interaction with engineering environments and accelerate productivity through conversational AI.

The release also delivers substantial enhancements and new capabilities in data management and accessibility. Enhanced indexing capabilities, powered by OpenSearch, dramatically improve search performance and scalability for large datasets. In addition, visibility management of data attributes across different user groups ensures that users see only the metadata relevant to their work. SPDRM Lite now supports data replication to file-based DMs. The release further empowers key users and system administrators through enhanced DM Schema Editor capabilities, reducing reliance on direct server configuration changes and simplifying DM Schema maintenance.

From a process management perspective, the introduction of dynamic sub-processes enables more flexible and maintainable process design by automatically using the latest versions of reusable workflows at runtime.

Complementing this, the platform introduces foundational support for the new Optimal workspace, further advancing automation and optimization-driven engineering processes. Additionally, the introduction of the PCB Model Builder streamlines the creation, simulation, and analysis of single and multi-board models, extending SPDRM’s capabilities for thermo-mechanical analysis of electronics systems.

System scalability and operational efficiency have also been significantly enhanced. Improvements include support for multiple SPDRM Lite server instances running on the same host, expanded Job Monitoring Assistant (JMA) architecture for managing multiple HPC systems and SPDRM servers, centralized logging services for simplified troubleshooting, and FlexLM license management integration.

Overall, this release strengthens SPDRM’s position as a scalable, AI-enabled engineering data and workflow management platform, providing improved user experience, greater operational agility, enhanced system performance, and a solid foundation for future growth across enterprise CAE environments.

Enhanced flexibility in data querying & sharing with ANSERS

With the introduction of AI-Powered Assistant in ANSERS, which is a chatbot to answer user questions and automate dashlet creation and/or modification, users can communicate and set up charts, tables, and media panels. They may also get information about ANSERS functionality, automatically fetch simulation data, connect data sources, and configure panels.

Users can now perform ML predictions using the BETA ML toolkit or any custom ML model, whereas out-of-the-box dashlets for the management of the predictions and the exploration of the relevant data have also been introduced. Furthermore, ML-driven insights on morphed models via ANSA web provide the ability to modify 3D models through morphing directly in ANSA web and run ML inference on the updated design, enabling faster insights and solution exploration in the early design phase.

The execution and monitoring of SPDRM processes from the web browser with remote and local application launching is now possible through the dedicated SPDRM process management page, whereas the visualization of key report data directly from the filesystem provides new data connection methods to list files, access data in .xlsx and .csv files and display curves, images, videos and 3D models in respective panels.

Closing with a few more new features that you will definitely come across in ANSERS 2026.1: the out-of-the-box dashlets for the exploration of DOE and Optimization Studies data, the support of METADB in 3D Model panel, now showing METADB, performing rendering in the browser on the local machine and the ANSERS Lite, an easy lightweight local installation for single users in Linux and Windows (WSL).

Documentation Transition to HTML format in BETA Product line

In our ongoing efforts to enhance user experience and accessibility, we have transitioned from traditional monolithic PDF documentation to HTML format.

This modern approach offers several key benefits:

  • Improved Accessibility: Users can now easily navigate and search through the documentation online, ensuring quick access to the information they need.
  • Enhanced User Experience: The documentation is organized in a more intuitive structure, with hyperlinks and cross-references facilitating seamless navigation between related topics.
  • Interactive Features: Incorporation of interactive content, such as code examples and videos, providing a more engaging learning experience.
  • Easy-to-Translate: This new format will allow for swift and seamless documentation translated in other languages upon demand.

Compatibility and Supported Platforms

ANSA files saved by all the first and second point releases of a major version are compatible to each other. New major versions can read files saved by previous ones but not vice versa.

  • META Project files saved from version 24.1.2 are compatible and can be opened by META version 16.0.0 or later.
  • Support for Mac OS has been discontinued.
  • Support for 32-bit platforms has been discontinued for all operating systems.

The license files that are issued by Cadence Design Systems from February 2026 require that BETA LM 7.3 is installed on the license server. All supported versions of the BETA CAE Systems software and previously released license files are compatible with BETA LM v7.3.

BETA LM Toolkit and all the supported versions of the software of BETA CAE Systems are now available from Cadence. Login to Cadence Downloads using your CadenceID. New customers can download BETA LM v7.3 directly for Windows or Linux to produce the license server identification details required for licensing and a CadenceID.
