ENGYS, RBF Morph Collaborate to Combine rbfCAE with HELYX, ELEMENTS

LONDON, UK, Jun 30, 2026 – ENGYS is pleased to announce a new partnership with RBF Morph, bringing the advanced capabilities of the rbfCAE software to engineers seeking faster and more efficient design exploration, optimization and simulation workflows.

Built on Radial Basis Function (RBF) technology, rbfCAE features high-fidelity mesh morphing, shape optimization, fluid-structure interaction (FSI), reduced-order modelling (ROM), and virtual reality (VR) integration. The platform allows users to modify complex geometries directly on existing meshes, eliminating the need for repeated remeshing to significantly reduce design iteration times.

rbfCAE allows turning any static geometry into a flexible parametric model.

Through this partnership, both ENGYS and RBF Morph will be able to offer rbfCAE with HELYX and ELEMENTS to their customer base, providing users with powerful and flexible CFD workflows for simulation-driven design, including: geometry parameterisation, automatic optimisation studies, design exploration, and FSI coupling.

Unlike traditional approaches that require geometry regeneration and mesh reconstruction for every design change, rbfCAE allows modifications to be applied directly to simulation models. This capability accelerates product development processes across industries such as automotive, aerospace, marine, energy and biomedical engineering.

rbfCAE provides real-time ROM interaction.

“HELYX and ELEMENTS provide engineers with highly-scalable CFD capabilities for simulation-driven design. By adding rbfCAE to this process, we are extending those capabilities with advanced mesh morphing, geometry parameterization, optimization and FSI.” said Francisco Campos, Director of Operations at ENGYS. “This partnership will enable our users to take full advantage of our open-source CFD tools to explore more design alternatives, automate optimisation studies, and integrate shape modification directly into their simulation workflows without the need for repeated remeshing.”

“This collaboration with ENGYS strengthens our mission to make advanced mesh morphing and optimization technologies more accessible to engineers worldwide,” said Marco Evangelos Biancolini, Founder of RBF Morph and Professor at the University of Rome Tor Vergata. “By combining rbfCAE with HELYX and ELEMENTS, users can benefit from an integrated workflow that supports design exploration, optimisation, and multidisciplinary simulation.”

The shared commitment of ENGYS and RBF Morph to delivering innovative engineering simulation tools reflect their joint vision to simplify complex processes and enable their users to achieve optimal design solutions in the shortest possible time.
