TURKU, Finland, Jun 23, 2026 – MagiCAD Group has launched a new service as part of its MagiCAD Cloud product line, enabling manufacturers to provide designers globally with access to additional BIM formats. With the new Content Access – Additional formats service, designers can download both IFC and STEP formats for selected product variants via MagiCAD Cloud.
The service responds to growing global demand for access to BIM content beyond native design tools, particularly in Central European markets. By enabling additional formats, manufacturers can support a wider range of design workflows across markets and ensure their products remain accessible and relevant throughout the design process.
With the new Content Access – Additional formats service, designers receive selected product variant in IFC and STEP formats. The service ensures lightweight models suitable for coordination, visualisation and early‑stage design use. In this context, IFC supports open BIM coordination across design tools, while STEP enables precise geometry access for product evaluation and visualisation workflows outside traditional BIM design software.

The new service is available for manufacturers on MagiCAD Cloud and complements existing content access services. By activating additional formats, manufacturers make their products available to end users without the need for separate modelling or distribution channels.
