The center is set up in collaboration with Pune based start-up, SSIG Manufacturing Advancements Pvt. Ltd.
The center aims to impart the most sought-after technology skills that are currently not a part of the regular curriculum. These skills are required in the Industry to save the time the Industry spends on training the recruits and make the student ready to employ. Hexagon | MSC Software could see this need and thought ahead of time for the benefit of both students and Industries, deploying the Industry software for students to learn real-life scenarios and projects. Hexagon | MSC Software has implemented a unique combination of diverse courses like Additive Manufacturing, Reverse Engineering, Electric Vehicle Drive and Mattery Management system, Advanced Driver assistance system, Drones, etc. along with MSC Software and Partner Hardware companies. With the help of Skill Connect, a digital platform to showcase their potential, projects/learnings. In turn, companies can get a trained and certified workforce with the appropriate skill set.

Speaking about the launch, Sridhar Dharmarajan, EVP, Hexagon Manufacturing Intelligence Division and M.D., MSC Software, Indo-Pacific said, “The vision behind the TEC is to create the Industry ready skills in students, which are currently not taught as part of the curriculum but are required by Industry. These courses will not only help the students to know the current trend, but also help faculty members build their knowledge on the latest technologies.”
“We narrowed down on Aurangabad since were looking to set up the TEC in tier 2 cities as students from these cities may not otherwise have access to state of the art labs and training as compared to students from tier 1 cities. I would also like to mention Dr. Mrs. Geeta Lathkar, who has been instrumental in implementing this project,” he added.
“Our University has students from developing cities like Pune & Nasik and from cities like Akola, Jalna, Parbhani, Nanded and surrounding geography as well. We thoroughly understood the concept and felt that Academia need to take a step forward in this. We worked along with Hexagon | MSC team and implemented the industry interface courses. I am sure this will help our students from Rural areas. Getting exposed to such latest technology concept and opportunities to implement those is otherwise difficult” said Dr. Mrs. Geeta Lathkar – Director – MGM Engineering Nanded Campus who was instrumental in getting this center established. “These students may not get the opportunity like the Tier1 City students get for employment. We are happy to offer them this opportunity to get top-notch industry knowledge, training and certification from a company like MSC Software.”
