PARIS, France, Apr 22, 2026 – The Global Award for Sustainable Architecture has announced the Laureates of its 19th edition, held under the theme ‘Architecture Is Transformation’. This edition is being held in collaboration with Saint-Gobain, the award’s Official Partner for the third consecutive year.
The awards ceremony took place on April 15 at the Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Istanbul, as part of an international symposium.
Founded in 2006 by the architect, researcher and scholar Jana Revedin, the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture honors five architects, urban planners or landscape architects each year whose work embodies a responsible, innovative and committed approach to sustainability. Placed under the patronage of UNESCO since 2011 and endorsed by the International Union of Architects (UIA) since 2024, the award has established itself as an international benchmark and a forum for reflection dedicated to the major contemporary challenges facing architecture.
Under the theme ‘Architecture Is Transformation’, the 2026 edition highlights the role of architecture as a driving force behind profound change – in construction methods, resource management, uses and social dynamics. The jury recognized initiatives that stood out for their coherence, commitment and social and political impact.
THE 2026 LAUREATES ARE:
- Ye Man – architect, founder of ZSYZ, China
- Doàn Thanh Hà – architect, co-founder of H&P Architects, Vietnam
- Loreta Castro Reguera & José Pablo Ambrosi – architects, founders of Taller Capital, Mexico
- Amelia Tavella – architect, founder of Amelia Tavella Architects, France
- Andreas Kipar – architect, landscape architect and urban planner, co-founder of LAND,

Through their projects, these architects and teams demonstrate architecture’s ability to act upon land, resources, uses and human interactions simultaneously, thereby contributing to the sustainable transformation of the built environment.
“In 2026, with ‘Architecture Is Transformation,’ the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture champions an architecture capable of influencing local areas and social dynamics as a genuine catalyst for change. The five winners, from China, Vietnam, Mexico, France and Germany, embody this sustainable transformation” – affirms Jana Revedin.
The 20th edition of the Global Award for Sustainable Architecture will take place in Venice in 2027 under the theme “Architecture Is Equity.”
