Rupnagar/Bengaluru 12th August 2023 — IIT Ropar Technology and Innovation Foundation (TIF) – Agriculture and Water Technology Development Hub (AWaDH) and Dassault Systèmes (Euronext Paris: FR0014003TT8, DSY.PA) today announced their collaboration to drive advancements in India’s agricultural and water sectors through technology developments brought by Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS). By combining technological expertise with a deep understanding of the sector’s needs, the collaboration strives to create a positive and lasting impact on the agricultural ecosystem as a whole.
Agriculture plays a pivotal role in India’s economy, contributing significantly to GDP and providing livelihoods to millions. As India faces the dual challenge of ensuring food security for a growing population and enhancing agricultural productivity in an environmentally sustainable manner, the role of technology becomes paramount. The MoU signed between Dassault Systèmes and IIT Ropar TIF AWaDH aims to harness the power of technology to address key challenges in Indian agriculture sector.
